It is no secret that many celebrities, past and present, struggle with some form of addiction. It is also no secret that their long journey to recovery becomes a very public matter which can hinder their success. According to a study by the Substance Abuse Treatment, Prevention, and Policy Organization, celebrity deaths related to drugs and alcohol have increased from the 20th century to the 21st. This is partially due to the rising popularity of prescription pills in recent years. Today on our panel we have a celebrity in recovery himself, a famous skateboarder and star of MTV’s Jackass, Viva La Bam, CKY movies, and Banyan Recovery Advocate, Brandon Novak.
